I began my career as an accountant, doing everything from selling lunch tickets to holding the title of “General Ledger Accountant” for 6 years. Then, due to a lack of technical support, I became “Technical Support” for myself and others. I enjoyed it so much, I returned to college to get the necessary credentials, so my job title could change accordingly. But after being laid off three times, I decided to change course. And so in July 2002, I joined American Express' audit group as a Technology Auditor, which not only fit my skillset but also provided ample opportunities to grow. I studied and passed both the CISA and CIA exams in 2003. On a personal note I have lived in the valley since 1970, except for the year I spent in England, 2000/2001 for business. I enjoy reading, doing needle work, playing with my cats, Asia and Embers, and riding my horse, Ivory.
